Your IP address may be blocked
The most common cause of repeated POP failures. Takes two minutes to check.
Our server firewall automatically blocks an internet connection after several failed login attempts. If you mistyped your password or server name a few times while setting up, your connection is probably now blocked and correct settings will still fail.
- Stop trying to connect. Every further attempt extends the block.
- Open a web browser and go to www.whatismyipaddress.com.
- Write down the IPv4 address shown at the top of the page. It looks like
203.45.128.19. Ignore the longer IPv6 address if one is shown. - Open a support ticket with support@diskman.net and include that IPv4 address, your email address and the name of the mail app you are using.
- We will check the firewall, remove the block if there is one, and reply to let you know.
- Once we confirm the block is cleared, go back through the setup guide from the start and check every setting carefully before saving.
Lodging a ticket means nothing gets lost and any of our technicians can pick it up. Please reply on the existing ticket rather than opening a new one.
Do this from the same internet connection as the device that will not connect. If you look up the IP address on your phone using mobile data, you will send us the wrong address.
